  • Encore is a mobile platform for built for performers to monetize their live online performances, like twitch but for music.

I began my affiliation with Encore as an advisor, specifically working with the founders on integrating talent and building Augmented Reality technology into the platform.

I transitioned into a steady role as Creative Director and worked with the product development teams, marketing, and performing artists. I was responsible for educating the entire staff on my decades of experience in the live music business, including understanding what the mobile product required to be a viable solution for performers to create and monetize their live performances digitally.

I was also responsible for working directly with the performing artists to create unique Augmented Reality visuals and experiences which were used in-app to create their live streams.

I worked directly alongside co-founders Ian Edelman and Jon Grey to advise and build the platform for the initial launch.

My work with Encore assisted with them raising $9m from Battery Ventures.

  • I worked alongside Craig Goetsch (VP of Live Nation, NYC) on daily operations at the then-titled PNC Arts Center (17,500 seats) in Holmdel, NJ.

I was responsible for the labor scheduling of various union laborers, venue maintenance and security staff, catering, and other production requirements. At peak season, we could see 5-7 large-scale touring concert shows pass through our venue each week. Having a show leave our building at 2 AM only to welcome the next show at 6 AM. The average show carried 8-12 semi-trucks of equipment and over 75 touring employees.

My experience at Live Nation was incredible exposure to the largest touring concerts in the USA and working directly with some of the industry’s top artist managers, tour managers, and artists. I was able to learn the business of concert promotion and production during my time and understand how to build budgets and manage large scale labor calls (upwards of over 300 employees during each event)

  • The IEP group was a Washington, DC-based production and creative agency that employed producers, designers, and technicians and owned $50m + in production equipment to produce their projects.

I began my career in entertainment as a Lighting Designer; the IEP group quickly promoted me to head of their DC office lighting department, where at a young age, I was responsible for working with project managers and producers to execute lighting designs for high-profile events, including working with government contracts and at secure government owned venues like the Library of Congress, Whitehouse and more. My responsibilities included drafting 2d/3d Architectural blueprints of all project designs, organizing and ordering equipment inventory, creating budgets for labor and staff, and directing and instructing labor on location during the event build and strike. I was required to manage labor calls for union and non-union laborers for each project, including managing trucking out-sourcing, logistics, and more.

IEP was acquired by the premier global production company PRG after my leave and no longer exists.

  • I graduated high school in 2001, and directly after, I began my education in Network Engineering and Security. While I was enrolled in certification courses from Cisco, amongst others, I was gaining hands-on experience as a freelance Network Engineer and Admin. Although this part of my career was short-lived, it provided me with advanced knowledge of enterprise networking infrastructure, including working part-time at a global financial institution.

I managed international enterprise trading desks, which were located in NYC and Paris. The NY office where I was located had over one hundred traders on the floor with demanding IT needs. Any IT system failing for even a short period could cost the firm exponential financial losses. We also had to comply with SEC and other compliance organizations on data protection and customer privacy.

Creating for modern times

art meets technology

Outland Visual

I built OV as a premier creative agency focused on developing storylines and executing breathtaking experiences across various mediums. This venture was my first foray into entrepreneurship fourteen years ago in NYC. I aimed to disrupt the market and bring a unique and creative focus on implementing technology into the emerging immersive experience market. Our scalable team of creatives and tech experts has been regarded as some of the best in the industry. We are one of the first agencies to deploy AR/VR in an iOS mobile application for live experiences. Along with our award-winning work developing 3D technology for use in live performance.

Encore

Co-founders Ian Edelman & Jon Grey reached out to me, with a novel idea for live digital performances and wanted me to join the advisory board. After a lengthy chat and a year of back and forth, Encore raised $9M from Battery Ventures to develop an AR mobile platform for performing artists to monetize their live performances.

They asked me to come on board in a more hands-on capacity working with their Sr. AR/VR dev team to build an iOS app that allowed any musician or artist to build an AR stage in their grandmother’s living room. My experience leading teams to develop AR/VR applications in the UNITY engine rapidly proved to be a skill I didn’t know I would use again. After countless iterations and test performances with actual performers, Encore went live.

Doublemoss

Jewelry

Fine Jewelry made in Los Angeles. Crafting a brand story that resonates with a luxury audience while still respecting ethical processes, and responsible choices.

Starting an e-commerce brand presented challenges, including the complexities of manufacturing a product in the USA and oh that little pandemic that started four months into our launch. However, through strategic thinking and my technology background, I navigated these hurdles. I built a successful Shopify platform, integrated Google Analytics 4 for data analysis, employed Meta & Google integrations for improved search engine visibility, and leveraged social media to expand brand awareness and foster customer engagement. These strategies helped me and my co-founder establish a thriving online presence and lay a strong foundation for future growth.
